Five Basic Principles For Learning English

Fluent in English as native speakers become the needs of today's young generation. In addition to communicating, English is also necessary when we enter the real world of work. Many people have learned English for years but are not confident when talking to others.

1. Forget grammar for a while
Studying too much grammar will leave you unenthusiastic and confusing. You are busy figuring out the grammar rules to make sentences, so you can not talk naturally.
The listener may not be patient enough to wait for you to say the whole sentence in English. Remember, that only a few native speakers know more than 20% of English grammar rules.

2. Learning Through Phrases (Word Composition)
People who study English usually learn through memory, many every word of the day and try to make sentences of these words match the Indonesian mindset. They do not realize that these words can not be shaped into meaningful sentences. Sometimes the sentence will sound funny and weird.

3. Familiarize yourself in English Environment
You must establish your own English environment to motivate your listening and speaking. You can also watch movies, listen to songs or game shows in English to familiarize with intonation and vocabulary learning.
The most important thing is you try to speak in accordance with what you have heard before. The best way is to speak loudly with confidence. Gradually, the fear of speaking in English will diminish and disappear.

4. Using Matched and Appropriate Materials
Many of the learners make the goal to speak in everyday life, but they listen to political or economic news. This is clearly irrelevant, you will be confused with the unusual language in everyday life.

5. Practice Every Day, Any Time, Anytime and Anywhere
This is the last but most important rule. You must take advantage of the time to keep practicing.
You can also practice by trying E-learning methods that are already popular all over the world. This new method is similar to dialogue in real life to produce high learning effectiveness.

The Most Important Things
Throw away the idea that you are too old to learn to understand and practice English. Learning a language is not a matter of age, but a mindset and behavior.
If you are lazy to learn english, then you will have trouble understanding and practicing it. Stay eager in learning English, do not give up and always believe in yourself.

Education Can't Keep Up With The Fast-Moving World Now

Education Can't Keep Up With The Fast-Moving World Now I stand for a different education: a different education where students will not just learn moral principles, but they shall be living examples of moral principles Written by: Mahesa Sidarta I am just an ordinary English teacher.  I have been teaching English for more than 10 years.  I am often underestimated by great academics because I am considered to be an incompetent teacher and out of the specified teaching path. I am just an ordinary teacher who will probably create the awesome students with my little knowledge in the future. Continuing education at university is a good idea.  You enter, choose a major that you like, learn from experts, and ready to work in the future.  This is why so many people (around 40% in rich countries) decide to go to college, even if it means making huge financial and personal sacrifices.  So many people do, it doesn't mean it's a good thing to do....
